Clean Air ordinance for 5 cities in Gray County—How do we want to schedule this? Also, we ask for help and Travis sent us booklets. Do we need trained, etc?
Discussion on other towns that have gone smoke-free.

Guest speaker for schools “smokeless does not mean harmless.” We are collaborating with other area schools to rotate this program in.

3. Seat belt safety education for county fair time.—fair dates are: July___________

Health fair sometime in August or September 2008?

Information for September 07 blog

Hello everyone....We are so glad you are blogging---this month we need to get your feedback on 3 items.
1. We are planning and health and wellness fair for Gray Co. What areas of emphasis should we concentrate on? What time of the year do you feel would be a good time to have this wellness fair? Would you be willing to help out in the planning and implementing stages of the health and wellness fair?
2. What areas in the area of health should we be concerned with in Gray County? Please state your thoughts. Such as smokeless tobacco.
3. If we were to bring in a guest speaker that would be traveling to many places in sw. ks., would you be willing to help out at your local schools? Such as being a host/hostess,etc.
4. As a coalition member, are you also invovled with the Gray county melt down? It won't do any of us any good, if our personal health is not where it needs to be.....Please set 3 goals for yourself to become a little more healthy today than you were yesterday. Thanks.

New Promotion for Attending Meetings and Blogs

Hello --we are consistently trying to show appreciation for your acts of kindness. We have received our grant funding for the upcoming year. We feel that you are so valuable to our coalition that we have implemented "thank you gifts" for participating.
We will be meeting or blogging every month until June 2008. Here is the plan.
If you have perfect attendance from September through January for meetings and/or blogs, here are the prizes that you may choose from:
1. A massage
2. A SAM treatment (Skin Analysis Machine)
3. A manicure or pedicure
4. Dinner for two
5. Movie passes for two

If you continue your perfect attendance from February to June, the same incentives apply. PS. If something happened and you did not make a meeting or Blog, you can make it up by calling 620-408-5734. If you know you will not be able to attend a face to face meeting, please go on and BLOG your ideas, etc. That will count as a attendance.

Here is the big picure: If you have perfect attendance all year, you are elgible to participate in a Weekend Get Away to Wichita. This will occur sometime in July.....Celebrate what is right!
We plan to attend the Uptown Dinner Theator. there are lots of other plans in the works for this weekend.

That is the plan and it is designed to say "thank you" for all you do. We do appreciate you and want you to be happy and healthy.

UPDATE on the Gray County Melt Down

Hello everyone, we want to share with you a bit of information about the Gray County Independence Melt Down. It has been a little over 30 days and we have over 30 participants and they have lost over 30 pounds. I guess we could say 30 X 30 X 30. Now that is awesome. It is still not too late for you to get involved..........WE meet every Monday evening at 7 p.m. to weigh in at the FACS dept. Cimarron High School. You can park on the south east side of the building and go in that back door. We weigh and discuss topics of interest to help us become BIG LOSERS. We need you to be involved and please take the time to care about your health. If you don't take control of your health and choices--no one else will. If you have questions, please blog with us. we appreciate you and know that we can develop healthy habits--one bite at a time and one step at a time. BY now you can't stand not to be part of the Big LOSERS....come on out...if the monday is a holiday, we will meet on that tuesday.

hello everyone, I am going to be sending out a new invitation and it is important that you get yourself set up to blog. We are in a growing mode and we need this technology to work. How is your summer going?
Our retreat is July 14, 2007 at the Hewes Park in Ingalls. We will meet at the park at 9 a.m.
